I am all about natural beauty products, so when I received the opportunity to try out Tropical Traditions I was thrilled. I have read some really fab reviews on several of their products but never about the Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil Hair Treatment. So, I had to give it a try.
My hair is about medium length, outrageously over processed, colored-treated, dry, damaged, frizzy— just plain sad. I do have my favorite products that can make my hair look like a million bucks, however that takes some major work on my end and to be completely honest, sometimes I just don’t have time. So, needless to say I am always on the lookout for great hair products that can make my normal routine a bit easier.
L♥VES IT!
I love the fact that that the Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil Hair Treatment can be applied 30-minutes prior to washing to moisturize the hair and/or the scalp. With my schedule this is typically the best method for me. It can also be used after washing while the hair is still wet, then covered with a shower cap before bed for an overnight treatment.
First impressions...
The first thing I noticed about the Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil Hair Treatment was the rich smell from the container. It’s not that fake super sweet coconut smell so typical of hair conditioners. It was rich and exotic—the real thing!
Lasting Impressions? Oh yeah!
I have applied the Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil Hair Treatment both ways; before washing and after washing, and I really love the way it softens and moisturizes my hair. I use it 2-3 times each week and I have, since I received the jar. I have also used it in my daughter’s thigh-length hair to keep it shiny and moisturized. The great part is that a little bit goes a long way so using regularly as I do, this jar will probably last me until the end of the year (at least), even sharing with my daughter. This makes it well worth the price. It has definitely become an essential hair care product in our house.
A little bit of coconut in my life…
I never realized how healthy coconut oil is for the whole body. The Tropical Traditions website has some fabulous information on coconut oil and it benefits. They will even teach you how to cook with coconut oil, which I will be trying out next. Check out some of the recipes, they sound fab!
