As much as I love my high end fashion pieces, I also really love a good t-shirt. And I have to admit, finding a good tee for me is really hard. I'm super-picky about colors and patterns, crazy-picky about the fit of my tees, and I have really sensitive skin, so when I find a good tee, I have to tell everyone. Black is the new Red! #taliaslegacy #valentinesday #awareness #cancer

So, I've been having some problems with my blog posts actually posting to my sites, so I have a little catching up do. And, this week I have received a lot of messages from my fans asking why I was so insistent on wearing black on Valentine's Day. So what's with wearing black while everyone else is wearing red?

It was Talia's wish to have everyone wear black on Valentine's Day to raise awareness for kids cancer. By now most of you know just how very special Talia Joy Castellano was to me. She was and still is a huge inspiration in my life. We lost Talia last year in July, and the beauty world will just never be the same without her. In her short time here, she taught us a lifetime of lessons and gave us mountains of inspiration. In fact, after watching her tutorials and trying out her awesome tips, she was the inspiration for starting my daughter's blog Little Miss Solei. She touched more hearts than she will ever know and her legacy will continue to live on through her family, friends, and fans. Photo Shoot: Summer Never Ends in SoCal

The end of summer is amazing in Southern California. The days are cooling down to around 100°and we have some nice breezes which bring in the cooler ocean air. I am surrounded by beautiful palm trees, mountain views and some of the most fabulous fashion in California.

This summer, I had the honor of working with dozens of amazing brands and designers. So I decided to put together a shoot with a few of my faves.

By now, you probably all know how much I adore jewelry. Necklaces, Earrings, rings and bracelets - I love it all! I wouldn’t say that I have a particular jewelry style but I am particular about my jewelry. I don’t typically go for a trendy look when it comes to jewelry. I like pieces that no one in my immediate circle has. This is probably why I have totally fallen in love with Accessory Artists

 The pieces are incredibly unique and beautifully designed. I am so very thankful I got the opportunity to shoot with these amazing pieces of art.

Summer is definitely my favorite time of year in terms of fashion. There are always fab trends and every year I find some new favorite pieces that wonder how I have lived without for so long. This summer is no different.

Though I have had the opportunity to shoot with almost two hundred designers/labels, just this year alone, I have been lucky enough to find some more clothes and accessories that I love and that every woman needs at least one of. I decided to include some of my favorite summer pieces in a fabulous photo shoot with my favorite photographer at BOSS Productions.

My clutch is from Elaine Turner, who has quickly become one of my favorites. I love her unique designs, colors and textures.They are really extraordinary and I truly believe every fashionista needs at least one Elaine Turner piece in their wardrobe. Another one of my new faves is definitely Ice Watches. These fabulous watches have spread like wildfire across the States and dozens of celebrities has been spotted rockin' their Ice Watches. So, needless to say I was absolutely thrilled to get mine. Ice Watches have an amazing collection of watches for both men and women. They come in just about every color imaginable with different size faces too. Some even have Swarovski crystals to give them a little bling-bling. My totally cute and oh...so comfy Yahu sandals in Coral Kiss are from Naturalizer. Naturalizer is known for their incredibly comfortable shoes and now, I definitely now why. These sandals were comfortable from the first moment I put them on (with no break in period) which I totally loved. Photo Shoot: More Fashion Faves

A few weeks ago, I had another incredible shoot with some amazing fashion pieces provided by FlipOut Sandals, Icarus & Co Jewelry, and Elif for Jordan Taylor. And my cosmetics were provided by everyone's favorite, Mary Kay.

The shoot was at White Water Reserve in Southern, California and the weather was absolutely perfect. This area is so beautiful, I will definitely be back to shoot there again. It is hard to believe this beautiful place is located in the desert.

The beautiful Aqua Mini Sputnik necklace I am wearing is from Icarus & Co jewelry. I have completely fallen in love with their pieces because they are just so unique. This particular piece is made from resin and cast from an actual shell of a mini sputnik sea urchin.
