Photo Shoot: Summer Never Ends in SoCal

The end of summer is amazing in Southern California. The days are cooling down to around 100°and we have some nice breezes which bring in the cooler ocean air. I am surrounded by beautiful palm trees, mountain views and some of the most fabulous fashion in California.

This summer, I had the honor of working with dozens of amazing brands and designers. So I decided to put together a shoot with a few of my faves.

By now, you probably all know how much I adore jewelry. Necklaces, Earrings, rings and bracelets - I love it all! I wouldn’t say that I have a particular jewelry style but I am particular about my jewelry. I don’t typically go for a trendy look when it comes to jewelry. I like pieces that no one in my immediate circle has. This is probably why I have totally fallen in love with Accessory Artists

 The pieces are incredibly unique and beautifully designed. I am so very thankful I got the opportunity to shoot with these amazing pieces of art.

If you are not familiar with Accessory Artists, it is simply an online boutique that carries a variety of handcrafted jewelry from an incredible team of talented designers. All of the pieces are carefully crafted by hand and are selected based on strict standards in design, craftsmanship, and quality materials. Alicia Silverstone was looking mighty fab in her shimmery “Sparkle in My Eye” dress from Proenza Schouler on Wednesday at the Toronto Film Festival. The photo to the left is a shot of her as she graced the red carpet for the premiere of her new film “Butter.” Co-Stars Ashley Greene, Jennifer Garner and Olivia Wilde were also in attendance looking fab but I absolutely loved Alicia’s dress. I think it fits her personality really well. And it’s the perfect dress for a red carpet event or special occasion. It would be cute at a holiday party too! So, of course I had to track it down...


The dress retails for $1,825 from Proenza Schouler but I found a really fab place where you can actually rent this dress for only $250. Yes, I said rent. You can wear it for a fabulous evening out and return it when you are done. How cool is that? It is a perfect idea for the fashionistas that never like to wear the same thing twice. Or for those who get a certain anxiety buying a $2,000 dress.

Summer is definitely my favorite time of year in terms of fashion. There are always fab trends and every year I find some new favorite pieces that wonder how I have lived without for so long. This summer is no different.

Though I have had the opportunity to shoot with almost two hundred designers/labels, just this year alone, I have been lucky enough to find some more clothes and accessories that I love and that every woman needs at least one of. I decided to include some of my favorite summer pieces in a fabulous photo shoot with my favorite photographer at BOSS Productions.

First off, I totally have to brag about my Kimono Dress from GAIAM. Loves it, Loves it, Loves it! This dress is so incredibly comfortable and light—it is the perfect dress for summer. I love how I can pair it with a simple pair of flip-flops and a ponytail or I can dress it up a bit with some cute sandals. Plus, it’s from GAIAM, one of my new favorite brands. My clutch is from Elaine Turner, who has quickly become one of my favorites. I love her unique designs, colors and textures.They are really extraordinary and I truly believe every fashionista needs at least one Elaine Turner piece in their wardrobe. The necklace I am wearing is a Spiny Murex Shell from Icarus & Co. Jewelry. Their metal and resin jewelry has been featured in several of my shoots and articles. They are so beautiful - I just cant get enough. And now I totally know what I want for Christmas this year (more Icarus jewelry of course). Another one of my new faves is definitely Ice Watches. These fabulous watches have spread like wildfire across the States and dozens of celebrities has been spotted rockin' their Ice Watches. So, needless to say I was absolutely thrilled to get mine. Ice Watches have an amazing collection of watches for both men and women. They come in just about every color imaginable with different size faces too. Some even have Swarovski crystals to give them a little bling-bling. My totally cute and oh...so comfy Yahu sandals in Coral Kiss are from Naturalizer. Naturalizer is known for their incredibly comfortable shoes and now, I definitely now why. These sandals were comfortable from the first moment I put them on (with no break in period) which I totally loved. They are made from a really soft suede and have awesome no-slip soles and super-comfortable insoles.
