Beauty Food: Healthy Pumpkin Spice Smoothie Recipe from Mannatech

Ah! Good 'Ol Pumpkin Spice...

I'm just going to come right out and say that unlike every one I know, I'm not really a fan of pumpkin spice. Weird right? I know, I know. But, I am a huge fan of Mannatech. So, I decided to go ahead and try it out. And honestly, it's freaking ah-mazing! ♥ (recipe below)

Mannatech makes some of my most favorite health supplements; OsoLean and NutriVerus. I was given these products awhile back to review and I have simply fallen in love with them. 

The Good Stuff

OsoLean is a whey protein supplement that targets weight loss and helps maintain lean muscle. It can be mixed into food or beverages (I like mine in smoothies or shakes). The NutriVerus is Glyconutritional supplement that is packed full of vitamins and nutrients, and can boost your immune system, maintain energy, assist in digestion and protect your cardiovascular system.

The Crazy Stuff 

According to Yahoo! Health, the Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte, one of the most popular pumpkin spice products, has great flavor but also packs a fat, sugar and calorie filled punch. Yahoo! Heath reports that a 16-ounce “Grande” pumpkin spice latte, made with 2 percent milk and topped with whipped cream, contains 380 calories, 14 grams of fat and 12 teaspoons of sugar (50 grams).

Mannatech’s Pumpkin Spice Smoothie 

Ingredients (Serves one)
1 large or two small/medium bananas (FROZEN)
1 cup raw spinach and kale (to keep it low glycemic)
½ cup of pumpkin puree (canned is fine)
1 tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup ice
1-2 tsp stevia
1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or to taste)
1 tsp coconut oil
1 scoop of NutriVerus™ powder
1 scoop of OsoLean® powder

Combine all ingredients in a blender and mix until smooth. Add as much almond milk as you need to reach a smooth and creamy consistency. Pour and enjoy!
